No new COVID-19 cases in HK

The Centre for Health Protection announced that as of midnight, no new COVID-19 cases have been recorded, leaving the number of confirmed cases in Hong Kong at 11,877.   A total of 40 cases were reported in Hong Kong in the past 14 days, including three local cases, of which one is from an unknown source.   For information and health advice on COVID-19, visit the Government’s dedicated webpage. http://dlvr.it/S1dL3k

2.05m vaccine jabs administered

About 2,050,300 doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered to the public, with about 1,213,100 people receiving their first dose and about 837,100 getting their second dose.   Among those given the first dose of vaccines, about 521,900 people have received the Sinovac jab and about 691,200 people have received the BioNTech one.   For the second dose, about 383,600 people have received the Sinovac vaccine, while about 453,600 people have been administered the BioNTech jab.   About 4,000 people received their first dose of the Sinovac vaccine and around 4,700 people received their second dose under the COVID-19 Vaccination Programme today.    For the BioNTech vaccine, about 6,600 people received their first dose at community vaccination centres (CVCs) and about 8,200 people received their second dose.   The overall percentage of people who received the Sinovac vaccine at CVCs is about 96%, while for the BioNTech one it is about 97%.   As of 8pm, about 4,400 people booked their first and second doses of the Sinovac vaccine online, while about 8,500 reserved their first and second doses of the BioNTech jab.   As of midnight, seven people were sent to hospitals.
