Hands-on approach to mental illness

With the aim of combatting the fear and misconceptions surrounding mental illness, Castle Peak Hospital’s Mind Space museum enables visitors to experience hallucinations, similar to the sensory experiences mentally ill patients encounter, by way of rooms that utilise virtual reality (VR) technology.   A group of secondary students recently embarked on a journey through Mind Space after registering and receiving patient wristbands. This unique mental health experience museum provided them with a comprehensive understanding of the development of psychiatric services in Hong Kong.   Displays in the museum showcase intriguing relics, including the evolution of restraints and handwritten patient records. No new COVID-19 cases found

The Centre for Health Protection announced that as of midnight, no new COVID-19 cases have been recorded, leaving the total number of confirmed cases in Hong Kong at 11,837.   The centre said five cases reported earlier have been reclassified as imported ones after the epidemiological investigation, clinical evidence and genetic sequencing analysis revealed that the patients were more likely infected with the coronavirus before arriving in Hong Kong.    Seventeen cases were reported in the past 14 days, including 16 imported cases and one import-related case.   For information and health advice on COVID-19, visit the Government's dedicated webpage.
