Govt showcases tech solutions

At the second edition of the InnoEX which started today, over 100 technology solutions, including those developed by government departments, are being showcased at the Smart Hong Kong Pavilion set up by the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer (OGCIO).   Through interactive experiences and live demonstrations, the pavilion displays the fruitful achievements in advancing the development of innovation and technology (I&T) and smart city in Hong Kong brought about by the concerted efforts of the Government and various sectors, the OGCIO said.   Financial Secretary Paul Chan and Secretary for Innovation, Technology & Industry Professor Sun Dong visited the pavilion today. 2.93m vaccine doses administered

About 2,934,300 doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered to the public, with about 1,738,100 people receiving their first dose and around 1,196,200 getting their second dose.   Among those given the first dose of vaccines, about 760,700 people have received the Sinovac jab and about 977,400 people have received the BioNTech one.   For the second dose, about 496,500 people have received the Sinovac vaccine, while about 699,800 people have been administered the BioNTech jab.   About 10,900 people received their first dose of the Sinovac vaccine and around 3,600 people received their second dose under the COVID-19 Vaccination Programme today.   For the BioNTech vaccine, about 19,100 people received their first dose and about 8,900 people received their second dose.   The overall percentage of people who received the Sinovac vaccine at community vaccination centres is about 96%, while it is 97% for the BioNTech one.   As of 8pm, about 5,800 people booked their first and second doses of the Sinovac vaccine online, while about 15,000 reserved their first and second doses of the BioNTech jab.   As of midnight, 16 people were sent to hospitals.
