Govt rejects UK report on HK

Flag-raising marks 24th anniversary

Acting Chief Executive John Lee and senior government officials today attended a flag-raising ceremony today to celebrate the 24th anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.   The ceremony was held at Golden Bauhinia Square outside the Convention & Exhibition Centre in Wan Chai.   The Police Band performed at the ceremony and two singers sang the national anthem, followed by a disciplined services fly-past and sea parade.   In view of the current public health risk, no public viewing area was set up for the ceremony.
