SB holds youth leadership forum

The annual review of the Security Bureau Youth Uniformed Group Leaders Forum was held today, with Acting Chief Executive Chan Kwok-ki giving a speech.   Mr Chan reported that the forum had organised nearly 20 activities over the past year, including courses and training camps run by the bureau’s disciplined services and auxiliary services, and seminars on the country’s Constitution, the Basic Law and the Hong Kong National Security Law. It also organised visits to Beijing, Shaanxi and Greater Bay Area cities, allowing participants to learn more about national affairs and broaden their horizons.   He said he was pleased to note that the bureau plans to strengthen co-operation between the Leaders Forum and Shenzhen University to enhance exchanges between youths in Hong Kong and Shenzhen, deepening their understanding of the development opportunities in the bay area and increasing Hong Kong’s integration into national development.   Noting that members had undergone significant grow

National arts fund open to HK

The Government today welcomed the opening up of China National Arts Fund applications from local arts institutions and practitioners for the first time.   The Council of the China National Arts Fund announced that the China National Arts Fund 2022 now accepts applications from Hong Kong and Macau. Eligible arts institutions and practitioners may submit applications via the arts fund’s website from July to September.   The 14th Five-Year Plan promulgated in March included support for Hong Kong to develop into an arts and culture exchange hub of China and the rest of the world.   The Government said it will continue to assist the arts and culture sector to seize the opportunities offered by the country’s 14th Five-Year Plan.   Accepting Hong Kong applications for the arts fund is a testimony to the country’s care for the development of the city’s arts and culture sector and arts talents, providing them a wider scope of development, it added.
