SB holds youth leadership forum

The annual review of the Security Bureau Youth Uniformed Group Leaders Forum was held today, with Acting Chief Executive Chan Kwok-ki giving a speech.   Mr Chan reported that the forum had organised nearly 20 activities over the past year, including courses and training camps run by the bureau’s disciplined services and auxiliary services, and seminars on the country’s Constitution, the Basic Law and the Hong Kong National Security Law. It also organised visits to Beijing, Shaanxi and Greater Bay Area cities, allowing participants to learn more about national affairs and broaden their horizons.   He said he was pleased to note that the bureau plans to strengthen co-operation between the Leaders Forum and Shenzhen University to enhance exchanges between youths in Hong Kong and Shenzhen, deepening their understanding of the development opportunities in the bay area and increasing Hong Kong’s integration into national development.   Noting that members had undergone significant grow

5.92m vaccine jabs given

About 5,922,300 doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered to the public, with about 3,366,100 people receiving their first dose and around 2,556,200 getting their second dose.   Among those given the first dose of vaccines, about 1,313,000 people have received the Sinovac jab and about 2,053,000 people have received the BioNTech one.   For the second dose, about 1,023,900 people have received the Sinovac vaccine, while about 1,532,300 people have been administered the BioNTech jab.   About 65,300 people received jabs under the COVID-19 Vaccination Programme today.   About 10,400 people received their first dose of the Sinovac vaccine and around 10,400 people received their second dose.   For the BioNTech vaccine, about 24,700 people received their first dose and around 19,700 people got their second dose.   The overall percentage of people who received the Sinovac vaccine at community vaccination centres is about 97%, while it is about 98% for the BioNTech one.   As of 8pm, about 5,600 people booked their first and second doses of the Sinovac vaccine online, while about 29,700 reserved their first and second doses of the BioNTech jab.   As of midnight, 11 people were sent to hospitals.
