Govt rejects UK report on HK

Subsidised flat applications to open

The Housing Authority today announced that applications for purchasing flats under the Sale of Home Ownership Scheme (HOS) Flats and White Form Secondary Market Scheme (WSM) 2022 will be accepted from February 25 to March 24.   A total of 8,926 flats will be put up for sale in seven new developments, including Kei Wah Court in North Point, Kai Yan Court in Kai Tak, Kwun Shan Court in Ma Tau Kok, On Sau Court in Kwun Tong, Chiu Ming Court in Tseung Kwan O, Yu Tak Court in Sha Tin and Yu Nga Court in Tung Chung.   Fifteen rescinded flats at Choi Wo Court and Shan Lai Court and 27 at Mount Verdant, Terrace Concerto and Greenhill Villa, as well as recovered Tenants Purchase Scheme flats will also be available for resale in this sale exercise.   The average selling prices of the new flats and those for resale are provisionally set at a 49% discount from the assessed market value.   Balloting exercises are expected to be held in the second quarter this year, while flat selection for the HOS and the issuance of approval letters to eligible applicants under the WSM are expected to start from the fourth quarter.   Sales booklets, application forms and guides can be viewed and downloaded from the authority's website from tomorrow.   Printed copies will be available at the authority's Customer Service Centre in Lok Fu, the Green Form Subsidised Home Ownership Scheme Sales Unit's office, estate offices and district tenancy management offices, as well as the Housing Society's rental estate offices from February 25.   In view of the COVID-19 epidemic, the authority strongly recommends applicants to submit online applications.   It added that no enquiry service will be provided at the Lok Fu centre and the exhibition area for displaying building models and doll houses will also be temporarily closed.
