Chan Kwok-ki, Algernon Yau in quarantine

​Director of Chief Executive’s Office Chan Kwok-ki and Secretary for Commerce & Economic Development (designate) Algernon Yau are undergoing quarantine in accordance with the Centre for Health Protection’s guidelines, the Government said today.   They were identified as close contacts after an assessment by the centre, as Mr Chan’s wife and a friend of Mr Yau had tested preliminary positive for COVID-19.    Both men have regularly conducted COVID-19 rapid antigen tests and the results have been negative. 20 cases found in restricted areas

The Government today announced that 20 COVID-19 cases were found in the compulsory testing exercises for the restricted areas in Tuen Mun and Aberdeen.   It made restriction-testing declarations yesterday to cover Shun Hei House of Siu Hei Court in Tuen Mun and Hung Lai House of Hung Fuk Court in Aberdeen.   At Shun Hei House, 1,267 people underwent testing and no one tested positive for the virus.   Twenty positive COVID-19 cases were detected at Hung Lai House after 860 people were tested there.   The Centre for Health Protection will follow up on the cases.
